BSBMED301 INTERPRET AND APPLY MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY APPROPRIATELY During this unit, you will be taken on a journey of discovery of the human body. Using prefixes, root words and suffixes, you will learn how to dissect those difficult medical words confidently. BSBMED302 PREPARE AND PROCESS MEDICAL ACCOUNTS This unit is the most important unit of any medical reception course in preparing you for the workplace. You will receive a detailed understanding of Medicare (MBS) and veteran’s affairs bulk billing, gap payments and doctor’s fees. Also includes Work cover claims and CTP motor vehicle accident claims. BSBMED305 APPLYING THE PRINCIPLES OF CONFIDENTIALITY, PRIVACY AND SECURITY WITHIN A MEDICAL ENVIRONMENT The importance of confidentiality within the medical industry cannot be underestimated. During this unit, you will explore Privacy Legislation and standards for the collection of patient information known as the 13 Privacy Principles. BSBMED303 MAINTAIN PATIENT RECORDS In this unit, you will receive a detailed understanding of the role of the medical receptionist when using a patient record keeping system; how to create new records; rules of who can access records; the importance of maintaining accurate patient details; and much more. MEDICAL SOFTWARE TUTORIALS Pracsoft and Best Practice are Australian market leaders in the clinical and practice management software industry. These programs assists medical practices in managing their appointments, billing, reporting, Medicare claims and much more.  Enhance your knowledge in both these software programs with our online tutorials.

Payments can be made in full on registration by EFT of Credit card. The total fee for this course if paid upfront is $560. 

OR via our payment plan:  $150 on registration plus 8 weekly payments @ $55.00

COURSE DURATION

All students are allocated up to 8 weeks to complete their course, however as this is a self-paced course you can complete in much less time should you wish.
