DIGITAL LITERACY

Digital literacy goes beyond just using technology – it includes being able to understand, evaluate, and communicate effectively and safely in online environments.

Think of digital literacy as: Digital skills + communication, critical thinking, and online awareness
You should be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of online safety, privacy, and respectful digital behaviour
  • Evaluate the credibility and relevance of online information
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using digital platforms (e.g. email, online forms, documents)
  • Organise and manage digital files, documents, and assessment submissions
  • Use digital tools responsibly, including having a basic awareness of AI tools and knowing when their use is appropriate in a study context
