ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
How You’ll Be Assessed
Throughout the course, you will complete a range of activities designed to help you demonstrate your knowledge and leadership skills in workplace situations. These activities are based on realistic scenarios commonly encountered in healthcare administration and team leadership roles.
Knowledge Questions
You will complete a range of questions designed to check your understanding of leadership concepts and workplace practices. These may include short written responses, multiple-choice questions and responses to workplace scenarios.
Scenario-Based Activities
Many tasks are based on realistic workplace situations within the simulated MAT Health Clinic environment. You may be asked to analyse workplace issues, respond to leadership challenges, complete tables, or draft workplace communications such as emails or responses to staff concerns.
Video Demonstrations and Role Plays
At certain points in the course, you will be asked to record short videos demonstrating how you would communicate and respond in leadership situations, such as leading a meeting, managing workplace issues, or responding to team members. These activities allow you to demonstrate how you would apply leadership and communication skills in common workplace situations.
Role plays can be completed in one of two ways:
- With a MAT assessor during a scheduled online session, or
- By recording and uploading your role play through the Learning Management System (LMS).
If you choose to record the role play yourself, you will need another person over 18 to assist by acting as a staff member, colleague or workplace stakeholder. This can be a friend or family member – no qualifications are required.
