  • prefixes, suffixes and root words commonly used in the medical industry.
  • Common medical abbreviation meanings and when they are used.
  • Learn strategies to confidently dissect and pronounce difficult medical words.
  • The human body systems including conditions and diseases relating to each body system

MAT’s course assessment is competency-based, which means you need not worry about a pass or fail outcome. Our trainers will use various methods to assess your medical reception and terminology capabilities, such as:

  • Product-based assessment – mock-ups of patient records, appointments, and accounts using the supplied medical software.
  • Short pronunciation and communication tasks – providing recorded audio evidence of short  simulated conversations.

Every student is granted up to three attempts for each assessment, ensuring ample opportunities for success. Our dedicated trainers are committed to supporting you every step of the way, providing comprehensive written feedback that will help you understand and enhance your skills and abilities.
